#NURTUREVOXBOX: Goodies to pamper the whole family…. including MOM!

Being a parent is hard. Being a working parent is also hard (not that I think staying at home is easier – why do you think I work?). Blogging, working, and being a parent is even harder. But Influenster’s #NurtureVoxBox was full of ways to help me out, make my life easier, pamper myself, and take care of my family. Since I got so much awesome stuff for free, just by being a part of the Influenster network, I thought it was only right to let you know what I thought of my goodie box. Although I received the products for free from Influenster, all opinions are my own.

Ore Ida Easy Fries

I received a coupon for a free Ore Ida Easy Fries product. I used mine to purchase the Crispy Fries. The box promises that in 3.5 minutes in the microwave, you get delicious crispy fries. No Lie! These were awesome and for $1.29, these are an amazing quick snack or easy side for a grill-out night.

Red Vines

I also got a full pack of Red Vines. I’d never had these before and just assumed they’d just be exactly like Twizzlers. Boy was I wrong! I’ve never liked the shiny texture to Twizzlers. Red Vines had a matte finish and were much easier to bite through. They were chewy, but didn’t just bury themselves in my teeth. The flavor was nice. I didn’t hate them. They made for a great snack at my desk when I needed something sweet and they are a low fat snack! Bonus!

Uncle Ben’s Flavored Grains

I couldn’t find these in a store, unfortunately. These packs are whole grain alternatives to white rice and they sound delicous. I’m just going to have to wait to use my coupon until Wegman’s gets their shit together.

Blue Lizard Austrailian Sunscreen – Sensitive

I really like this sunscreen. It goes on very smooth and rubs in clear. It doesn’t irritate the girls’ sensitive skin. This sunscreen is not waterproof, but it does last when the girls are playing in the water table for a decent amount of time. I also like that the UV-sensitive cap turns blue to remind you to re-apply.

Hada Lobo Tokyo Anti-Aging Face Mask

Let me start by saying:

this

this

This mask is basically a thick paper mask soaked in hyaluronic acid and other anti-aging nutrients. I liked the mask. It was cool on my skin, didn’t burn, and left my skin feeling hydrated and smooth.

Dramamine Non-Drowsy Naturals

I don’t get carsick, but I do get nauseous from headaches. I tried these for that nausea and the Dramamine definitely helped me make it through the day without getting sick. The pills are 100% natural, the only ingredient is ginger. Definitely a must-have for me.

ATTITUDE Little Ones Shampoo

This shampoo is carcinogen free! I am so distrusting of companies who make bath products for babies after the whole formaldehyde in Johnson & Johnson products scandal. I was skeptical of Aveeno because they are owned by J&J as well. So I have tried about 400 million different EXPENSIVE shampoos and body washes for my kids, but this one is both baby-friendly AND reasonably priced. It’s priced around $9.99 for a 12 oz. bottle (currently on sale at Target for $8.99, FYI). It has a very mild fragrance, lathers well, and is also eco-friendly. This is our new shampoo.

Skinfix Diaper Rash Balm

Luckily (haha) Lillian got a WICKED diaper rash right after we received this product to test, so we were able to use it. I really like the texture, it is not as thick and sticky as some other diaper creams we have used. It went on more like shea butter or a body butter. After two applications with the Skinfix cream, her diaper rash was completely gone. It’s definitely effective, albeit kind of overpriced at $8.99 for a 2 oz. tube versus the $4.39 price tag on our usual Boudreaux’s Butt Paste 4 oz. tube.

Overall, this was a great box. I wish I’d been able to find the Uncle Ben’s Flavored Grains, but otherwise, all of the products included made my life a little easier and more delicious! Thanks, Influenster!
